The Heart of Reykjavik

The Heart of Reykjavik is a family run gift shop founded in 2019 by artist Jóhann Ludwig Torfason and is run by him and his wife Ragnhildur Jóhanns. Jóhann draws houses from the city center and designs and makes the products him self in a small workshop in the store it self at Laugavegur 12b, you can find mugs, puzzles, coasters and posters among other things in the store.

Kópavogslaug pool

Kópavogur swimming pool has been one of the more popular swimming pools in Iceland the last years. It's one of the larger pools in Iceland. In 2008 a large part of the pool was renovated. There are three pools as well as a small pool by the water slider. There is one 50 meter pool, one 25 meter and a 10 meter indoor along with seven hot tubs, one of them is a jacuzzi and one is for children. There are three water sliders which are very popular with the younger generation.

Hallgrímskirkja church

Hallgrímskirkja stands guard over Reykjavík. The church is both a parish church and a national sanctuary in Iceland. Its stepped concrete facade is an ode to modernism and a reminder of the Icelandic landscape. The church is named after the 17th-century clergyman Hallgrímur Pétursson, author of Hymns of the Passion. Hallgrímskirkja is an Evangelical-Lutheran church and is a part of the Evangelical-Lutheran Church of Iceland. Hallgrímskirkja is one of the most visited places by tourists in Iceland. Every day thousands of people visit the church. Admission to the church is free.
