Sundhöll Reykjavíkur pool

Reykjavík Sundhöll has two pools, an indoor and an outdoor pool. There is good access for people in wheelchairs to get into the pool. There is also wheelchair access to the hot tub and sauna.

At Sundhöllin you'll find hot tubs, a diving board, a wading pool, a cold tub and a sauna. There are also outdoor cabins.

Play equipment

There are two diving boards in the indoor pool, the lower one is 1.0 m from the water's surface and the higher one is 2.75 m from the water's surface. Indoor pool: 25m x 10m, 4 lanes, 9m – 4m deep. The temperature is 28°C

Apotek Hotel

Apotek Hotel is a stylish boutique hotel located in the very heart of Reykjavik´s most prestigious shopping, entertainment and cultural district. The historical building formerly housed the pharmacy Reykjavikur Apotek and is widely considered to be one of the most remarkable buildings in Reykjavik. Guðjón Samúelsson, former State Architect of Iceland, designed the building in 1917.

Hallargarðurinn public park

Hallargarðurinn at Fríkirkjuvegur is a beautiful public parks in Reykjavik. Florals, artwork, elegant houses and views of the lake from the east give the garden a graceful and warm appearance. It also indirectly connects to the Sound Park (Hljómskálagarðurinn), which is diagonally opposite the other side of Sóleyjargata and the Scotch Road. At Hallargarðurinn stands the splendid house of Thor Jensson (better known as Bindindishöllin), a timber-house in the classical style and by many considered one of the most beautiful houses of Reykjavik.

Aðalstræti - The Settlement Exhibition

At Aðalstræti 10 and 16 in Reykjavík’s city centre, you can explore how the city developed from Iceland’s settlement period to the present day. Stretching underground from Aðalstræti 16 – which houses the archaeological remains of a 10th-century Viking longhouse – to the central Kvosin area’s oldest remaining building at Aðalstræti 10, this historical exhibition traces Reykjavík’s development from a farm to a city.

Þrír frakkar

The restaurant Þrir Frakkar, was opened on March 1. 1989 and has been run by the chef Úlfar Eysteinsson and his family since then.

The restaurant is conveniently located in the downtown area and is within walking distance of the major shops and services in the city center.
The chef Stefán Úlfarsson, have continuously placed emphasis on fish courses and the restaurant has become well known for its delicious fish fare. Other specialities on the menu include whale meat and sea bird entrees.
