Alþingi - Parliament House

Parliament House, which stands on Austurvöllur square, was built in 1880–81. Two annexes have been added to the original building, Kringlan (the Rotunda) in 1908and Skálinn in 2002. The garden of Parliament House is Iceland's oldest public garden. Dating from 1893–95, it was largely the work of parliamentarian/bank director Tryggvi Gunnarsson. In 1867 Althingi resolved to mark the millennium of the settlement of Iceland by holding a national festival in 1874, and by building a Parliament House in Reykjavík, of Icelandic stone.

One of the oldest stores in town that sells second-hand clothing and used products as its been open since 1986. Spúútnik specializes in vintage clothing and brand products. The store has two locations, one on the main street Laugavegur and the other one is in Kringlan shopping mall

ABC Children's Aid Market

ABC Children's Aid's utility market is run to support our aid work. It is located at Nýbýlavegur 6, 200 Kópavogur. Both new and used products are for sale, such as clothes, household appliances, furniture, and lots of other things.
The market's opening hours are between 12:00 and 18:00 every week day and between 12:00 and 16:00 on Saturdays.

We encourage everyone to make their way to our market and find out if there is anything you like, and at the same time support and strengthen our cause.

Spíran

Spíran is a family-friendly bistro place on the upper floor of Garðheimar gardening store, where healthy and good food is served for lunch and dinner every weekday, as well as good coffee and pastries until the end of the day.

On weekends we offer a Brunch buffet.

The menu is varied which means there is always something new and fresh in the food every day.

You can choose one of the dishes of the day for lunch or dinner, and the soup of the day is included along with poured coffee if eaten on site.
