On Tuesdays from July 15 to August 12, guests at the Reykjavík Park and Zoo will be invited to family concerts from 3 PM to 4 PM. Young and up-and-coming musicians will warm up the stage for more experienced performers. Regular admission applies. It’s ideal to arrive early, enjoy playing in the park, grab a hot dog or soup from Bæjarins Beztu, and visit the animals. The concerts will take place at the Viking Grounds, located near the carousel. After the concerts, guests are welcome to continue enjoying everything the park has to offer — it’s open daily from 10 AM to 6 PM. The concert series schedule is as follows: July 15: Maron Birnir and Emmsjé Gauti July 22: Klara Einars and Húbba Búbba July 29: Katrín Myrra and Una Torfa August 5: Karítas Óðins and Nussun August 12: Maron Birnir and Aron Can The host will be the broadcast journalist and Olympic athlete Elva Björg Gunnarsdóttir.
