RVK Brewing Co./Tónabíó presents a new concert series called 'Herðum Haus' in collaboration with radiostation X-ið (X-977). Always free entry. Skipholt 33, Tónabíó. Concert starts at 20:30 Brimbrot recently released their first self-titled album in 2025. The band calls its music Brimrokk, and is heavily influenced by the surf rock of old guitar heroes Dick Dale and Link Wray, but also draws inspiration from the Icelandic zeitgeist and seafaring from the middle of the last century. Very catchy and danceable music where magic and moodiness are dominant. Brimbrot has been described as a costume party music from a Tarantino movie, which is perhaps the best description. The album was released on vinyl and CD in one package and will be for sale at the concert in Tónabíó. Brimbrot is made up of many experienced players from the Icelandic music scene: Bjarni M Sigurðsson plays guitar, Jens Hansson on saxophone, Erik Qvick on drums and Hallur Ingólfsson on bass.
