Stop by Vitatorg on Culture Night and see how previously unused materials are turned into valuable resources – for the benefit of the community. The City of Reykjavík and Bambahús are working together to transform Vitatorg into a vibrant hub of cultivation and sustainability. Already, six Bambahouses are in active use by residents. During the festival, Bambahús staff will be on-site presenting the project. Visitors will have the opportunity to explore a variety of products created through the smart use of bales. Recycling, innovation, value creation, employment development, sustainability, nutrition, food security, health, upcycling, environmental protection, and education – these are all concepts that reflect the mission of Bambahús.
