Welcome to the art exhibition Outside Play, made for the Children’s Culture Festival 2025, in the display greenhouse at the Reykjavík Botanic Garden in Laugardalur. The exhibition opens on the 9th of April and closes at the end of April 13th. The art is by children in the preschools Austurborg, Bríetartún and Hallgerðargata, Hof, Vinagerði, Laugasól, Múlaborg, Jörfi and Kvistaborg. The artworks are versatile but are all inspired by the outdoors and the children‘s nearby environment of Laugardalur. The playground of your dreams is close by, it is where the sunflowers thrive. The colours of the clouds shine through the light while the birds take flight and make a beautiful harmony in the sky. On the ground there are precious stones and trees with a story to tell.
