The exhibition shows findings from workshops with Sigríður Björk Hafstað that reflect on feelings and diversity. The aim was to explore the intersection of emotional expression and the spectrum of identities and diversity with children from Húsaskóli. The exhibition shows findings from workshops that reflect on feelings and diversity. The aim is to explore the intersection of emotional expression and the spectrum of identities and diversity. The city library in Spöngin will be an inclusive, and open space for participants to explore and express their feelings, experiences, and identities through various artistic mediums. The artist Sigríður Björk Hafstað will introduce the workshop's theme through her own installation of participatory installation that will grow and change during the Children Cultural Festival. Participants will be encouraged to think about different emotions they feel, without being restricted by language. They are then invited to use colour, shape, and abstract forms to represent those feelings in visual art. They will discuss the influence our surrounds have on our feelings. The participatory installation will provide examples of how emotions can be captured through art. The diversity of emotions is emphasized, and participants are free to explore complex or mixed emotions. At the end of the workshop, participants will leave with a deeper understanding of the importance of divervity. The overall goal is to encourage participants to celebrate their unique identities, understand the fluidity of gender and emotion, and express these complexities freely through art.
