With The Merchants' Weekend fast approaching now is the perfect time to stop by the peaceful living room of Laxness Museum on your drive through Þingvallarvegur.
On Sunday, August 3rd at 4 pm, Snorri Sigfús Birgisson will play the author’s grand piano, as part of our summer concert series.
Snorri will perform folk arrangements and original music, including the debut work Netlufiðrildið. The last piece in his program will be Í stundarheimi, which Snorri wrote in memory of pianist Anna Guðný Guðmundsdóttir, who was the museum’s musical advisor and laid the groundwork for the living room concert series

He studied piano with Barry Snyder at the Eastman School of Music and composition in Oslo and Amsterdam with Finn Mortensen, Lasse Thoresen and Ton de Leeuw.
