Frikkinn is an award given by Átak, an association of people with developmental disabilities, in December every year. This year's award will be given at Reykjavík Art Museum - Hafnarhús and is open to everyone.
The recognition takes its name from Friðrik Sigurðsson, Átak's first honorary member, and has been awarded since 2015.
The recognition shall be given to the person or group that has made an effort to support the independence of people with disabilities and has worked to provide increased opportunities and promote an inclusive society in all areas.
