The Singing Society's (Söngfjelagið) Christmas Concerts have become a regular part of the Icelandic Christmas season. This year they will perform a nativity cantata where the Christmas story will be told in music and speech. Special guests are Pálmi Gunnarsson and Ragnheiður Gröndal, while Kjartan Valdimarsson's band provides accompaniment. Who knows if there will be some secret guests as well!

The program is varied, with peace, joy and love as the main message. A new song and lyrics by Hjörleif Hjartarson along with a song by Karl Ágúst Úlfsson are on the program, but the icing on the cake will be the first performance of the Söngfjelagið's Christmas song, Aðfangadagur, which this year was written by Hróðmar I. Sigurbjörnsson to the poetry of Gerður Kristnýjar.

The concert will take place the 8th of December in Langholtskirkja at 16 pm and 20 pm and ticket sale takes place on tix.is.
