
Hellisgerði
You might be surprised to learn that in addition to its 30,000 human residents, Hafnarfjörður is also home to many elves, dwarfs and other mystical beings, collectively called ‘Hidden Folk’. Local folklore has it that you can visit these supernatural beings in Hellisgerði an enchanting park located close to the town centre.

Hamarinn
This cliff is just a few minutes' walk from the town center. Hamarinn is a protected nature site and a sightseeing point offering expansive views of the town and the surrounding natural area. Here you can take your perfect photo of Hafnarfjörður to take back home with you.

Cupstone
Cupstone is located by the sea front in Seltjarnarnes. It was designed by the artist Ólöf Nordal who also is the artist behind the famous "Þúfa" at Grandi area.

The annual Reykjavík Jazz Festival will be held from the 29th of August - 5th of September. The festival hosts performances in a variety of styles, from contemporary jazz and the avant-garde to Latin jazz, gospel and big bands.

Iceland Airwaves postponed until 2021
