On the tip of Seltjarnarnes Peninsula, is a place called Grótta and there you'll find a popular lighthouse. Grótta was declared a nature reserve in 1974 due to its abundant birdlife.

The Medical History Museum Nesstofa is a specialized museum under the administration of the National Museum and concentrates on the collection and preservation of artefacts, tools, instruments, pictures, drawings and the history of the abovementioned.

The swimming pool in Seltjarnarnes in an outdoor pool that is 25 meter long and the temperature is 29°C. There is also a childrens pool that is 35°C warm and another that is 30 cm deep and 37 – 38°C warm. The swimming pool has 4 hot tubs.

Leiðarendi lava cave
Leiðarendi is a lava tube located in a lava field close to Bláfjöll, the Blue Mountains, in southwest Iceland. These beautiful and natural wonders are created by flowing lava under the earth after a volcanic eruption. Víðistaðatún
Víðistaðatún sculpture park is one of Hafnarfjörður‘s green recreational areas which features a collection of outdoor sculptures by local and international artists. The park also has a six-hole disc golf course, football field, tennis courts, children's playground and barbeque facilities.

Hafnarborg Center of Culture and Fine Arts Museum
Central to Hafnarfjörður's arts scene is Hafnarborg − The Hafnarfjörður Centre of Culture and Fine Art. The museum has two exhibition galleries, a restaurant and a small museum shop.

Kleifarvatn
Steps from the dramatic geothermal area at Krýsuvík Seltún lies the sweeping blue expanse of Kleifarvatn Lake. Nestled below a steep mountain, the seemingly deserted space is an attractive spot for a quiet walk. A small path circles the lake, jogging around water's edge and over small black lava rocks.
