Winter Solstice Sorcery

Welcome everybody to the annual Winter Solstice Christmas Gathering at the DEAD Gallery at Laugavegur 10b.

This year, the event will be exceptionally festive, offering light refreshments and drinks, along with; concerts, readings, performances and art, free of charge to guests and pedestrians.

On display will be works by artist and host Jón Sæmundur, and this year's theme is Helgur Eldur (Holy Fire).

The program runs from 7pm – 10pm, but Teitur Magnússon leads the guests through the evening and plays well-chosen Christmas songs between scenes:

- Þorgerður Gefjun, a nature magician, recites an old poem
- Valdimar Tómasson, a downtown poet, reads from a brand new book of poems
- Magnús Björn Ólafsson, philosopher, tells a Christmas story
- Kristín Eiríksdóttir, writer, reads and ponders
- Ófeigur Sigurðsson, poet, reads from his newly published book
- Halldór Armand, publisher, teaches us about the comedy Merkilegt Rusl
