Icelanders are familiar with the lack of sunlight in winter, but they don't need to despair because Sólólól will shine instead! The artwork doesn't only show Earth's sun as it looks past the horizon. Sólólól invites viewers to bathe in the sunshine of 6 suns from nearby solar systems. Sólólól invites viewers to bathe in the sunshine of 6 suns from nearby solar systems. Rebekka Ashley Egilsdóttir is a product designer with an interest in fine art. She has participated in numerous exhibitions in Iceland and has collaborated with Icelandair and the Icelandic Red Cross. She has also exhibited abroad in the Czech Republic, Romania and at Vienna Design Week 2024. Þorkell Máni Þorkelsson is a computer scientist who has been programming for 8 years. He has worked on projects within Ísland.is including publishing and scanning driver's licenses used in elections and ÁTVR. His other projects include publishing data on Mín Síður Ísland.is, which won Website of the Year at SVEF 2022.
