On Thursday, August 28th, Sæfari will play at Tónabíó. The concert starts at 8:00 PM. Free admission. ------ Sæfari is a vessel of exploration and the singer-songwriter project of Atli Sævar Guðmundsson. The maiden album “Wolfheart” was released last year, inspired by the northern lights, old seafaring tales, and the heartbreaks of the ocean. Now, Sæfari embarks on his maiden concert voyage, charting a course toward his distinctive live sound with a stellar crew aboard. At the bow stands Karl James Pestka on violin, with the wind in his strings. Amidships, Gísli Gunnarsson navigates deftly between guitar and piano. On the starboard side, Hannes Arason sounds the trumpet like a beacon across the waves, while Moritz Christiansen’s saxophone rises and falls with the tides.
