The dance piece punktur punktur punktur is an electrifying dance journey that invites the audience to peer into an alien world where every movement is perfectly calculated.
The work deals with the phenomenon of human connection and human behavior patterns in the digital age. The dancers embody nerve impulses and communication patterns through unique precision. Through unexpected vulnerability, a desire to break free from the system arises. Do they manage to break out of the fear of uncertainty…
About the choreographers:
Bjartur and Sóley are working on the dance piece "punktur, punktur, punktur" in collaboration with FWD with support from Dansgarðurinn. Bjartur is a stage designer and Sóley is a dancer and choreographer. Together they work on artistic experiments with the overlap of dance, art and drama in the spirit of the Tanztheater. Through co-creation, they have developed dance techniques that explore the strange relationship between formality and flow.
About Skissan:
SKISSAN is a platform for new choreographers to experiment creatively and work with a dance company. The project is under the supervision of Dansgarðurinn and aims to create a space where young dancers and new choreographers get to practimce, support and develop side by side.
About Forward:
The FWD Youth Company is a program for young dancers (18-30 years old) and was the Reykjavík art group of 2023. The company creates a few performances every year and participates in festivals in Iceland as well as abroad. Forward was nominated for “Sproti ársins” in Gríman 2022. Forward is supported by the city of Reykjavík.
