Students in educational levels ranging from kindergartens to secondary schools all over Iceland show the results of their research project and their artistic creation in a grand exhibition at the National Gallery of Iceland in the Children's Culture Festival. During the past school year, the students have worked with artists and specialists from the National Gallery of Iceland on their own research on glaciers, both in nature and in Icelandic art, in a creative and interdisciplinary way. During the exhibition period, the artist Jóní Jóns works with kindergarten students, whose output is added to the exhibition. The exhibition is held in the reading hall of the House of Collections and is open to the public of all ages during the museum opening hours. Ísabrot – glaciers in Icelandic art is a comprehensive project carried out in collaboration between the museum, artists and schools. The project is supported by the Children's Culture Fund.
