Street dancers from Dans Brynju Péturs will put on a powerful and fun showcase. Within this group are some of Iceland's best Street dancers who are well adapted to choreographing and putting on great shows. We will also teach an easy and accessible open dance class suitable for the whole family. Dance showcase is at 15-15:20 and the open Hiphop dance class from 15:25-16. Street dance is an umbrella term for all the styles that are born outside of the customary form of stages and theatre, when people come together to socialise with music and dance. Through the years and many practitioners dance styles emerge with their signature technique and vocabularies and certain styles created like this become the most popular dance forms on the planet. This is how most styles are developed and we seek to maintain a connection to the roots and the culture that birthed them. You will see mostly Hiphop and possibly dashes of Top Rock, House, Popping and more.
