Are you learning Icelandic? The Reykjavík City Museum offers a guided tour of the Photography Museum for people learning Icelandic. The tour will take place on Saturday, 12 April, from 14:00 to 15:00. Katleen Abbeel will provide the tour in easy-to-understand Icelandic. The tour will focus on the "Press Photographs of the Year" exhibition, featuring photos from the past year selected by an independent jury from 800 photos submitted by Icelandic press photographers. The exhibition features images from 2024, offering a fascinating insight into last year's news events. Katleen Abbeel speaks Icelandic as a second language. She is a tour guide, translator, and Icelandic teacher. The museum is a great place to practice Icelandic. The tour is free of charge and open to all Icelandic learners, from beginners to more advanced speakers. For more information about the exhibition: https://borgarsogusafn.is/.../press-pho-to-graphs-of-the... Access for people with disabilities is good. Service dogs are welcome at the museum. Public transport: The nearest bus stops are called Hafnarhús, Lækjartorg, and Ráðhúsið (2–5 min. away). Parking places are available by the museum and in neighbouring parking houses in Vesturgata 7 and Hafnartorg.
