The yearly battle of the marching bands is taking place on Menningarnótt. The bands will fight to the last note and most certainly not act in an olympic manner. Bribes, cheating, backstabbing and nepotism are things that come to mind. The first battle - a few years ago - took everything too far. After that bloodbath it was agreed upon to minimize the physical altercation. What happened next was that the animosity grew ... to an intolerable level. This is an unforgettable show of force. Live music at its worst. There can only be one winner - taking it all. The Culture Night at Harpa Square program is offered by Harpa, Landsbankinn and Hafnartorg.
