On the occasion of Culture Night, we invite families to join us for some Viking fun at the Settlement Exhibition on 23 August from 10:00 to 17:00. Admission is free and everyone is welcome. Visitors to the Settlement Exhibition will have the chance to dress up in Viking costumes and carry weapons like our ancestors once did. You can pose in front of a cool backdrop and take a photo. There will also be an open Viking workshop, where you can craft Viking faces, longhouses, and all sorts of fun creations. This event is part of the Reykjavík City Museum’s diverse program for Culture Night. Accessibility is good in Aðalstræti. Please note that the lighting is rather dim inside the exhibition hall by the ruins, and the floor is uneven in some places. Guide dogs are welcome at the museum.
