A sound piece by Ása Ólafsdóttir about Bríet Bjarnhéðinsdóttir will be installed on Bríetartorg. The piece is inspired by the piece Bríetarbrekka by Ólöf Nordal, and the first speech by Bríet, which was also the first speech given by a woman in Iceland. Hitt Húsið is a cultural and information center for young people between the age of 16-25. One of the numerous projects that Hitt Húsið carries out, is the Creative Summer Groups project which has become an essential part of the city´s cultural environment. The groups consist of young ambitions and creative artists and their projects are diverse.
