On Thursday, August 7th, LÁTÚN will play at Tónabíó. The concert starts at 8:00 PM. Free admission. ------ Látún is a 6-piece band consisting of 4 wind players, a drummer and a bass player. The band plays original songs and the music has been described as dance-friendly happy music where the joy of playing and rhythmic charm are paramount. You can hear various trends from funk, ska, klezmer, jazz, disco and acid rock flowing through the music. In 2021, the album “Látún” was released and the band followed it up as best they could during the pandemic and attracted some attention for lively and fun concerts. The band recently went into the studio and recorded a few songs that will be premiered t at RVK Brewery along with older hits. The band consists of: Albert Sölvi Óskarsson (saxophone), Hrafnkell Örn Guðjónsson (drums), Sólveig Moravek (saxophone and flute), Sævar Garðarsson (trumpet), Þórdís Claessen (bass) and Þorkell Harðarson (saxophone and clarinet)
