Happy hour at the Hub where we investigate how art can support wellbeing. Open conversation, music by Korda Samfónía, placebo for codependency courtesy of Codapent and songs from the Emotional Choir’s upcoming record.
Codapent is a project featuring the placebo Codapent that offers suggestions for recovery from codependency. This pseudotherapy explores the capacity of the arts to heal old wounds and whether placebo can induce a swift recovery. Artistic director Hrefna Lind Lárusdóttir will provide an insight into the creative process and the Emotional Choir, conducted by Pétur Eggertsson, will perform some songs from their upcoming recovery album.

Korda Samfónía is the country’s most unconventional band, bringing together 35 individuals from all walks of life, aged 20-70+. These include highly skilled and experienced professionals as well as students from the Iceland University of the Arts, self-educated musicians and people who have never worked with music before, as well as people who have experienced trauma and are at different points in their rehabilitation process.

Aðstandendur (kreditlisti)Codapent: Hrefna Lind Lárusdóttir, Pétur Eggertsson, Guðný Hrund Sigurðardóttir, Sigurður Unnar Birgisson, Búi Bjarmar Aðalsteinsson og Tilfinningakórmeðlimir.
