For Parents, Grandparents or any Interested Adults—
Come learn about the Grump Meter!
Does anyone in your family ever get grumpy, frustrated, or angry? If so, come learn about the Grump Meter and Nonviolent Communication. In this interactive workshop, you’ll learn a language of color to get to know yourself and your children in new ways. These are tools for people to help themselves and each other, stay connected, and solve problems with more peace.
We all have needs for love, understanding, consideration, respect, kindness, and belonging. When we can’t figure out how to meet these important needs, we go up the Grump Meter. However, when we can recognize our feelings, slow down, and consider our needs, we find new conversations and strategies to help ourselves and others. The Grump Meter helps us see our feelings and what they are trying to tell us, and then find our way to calm blue, where we communicate and connect most easily, effectively, and compassionately. Come make a Grump Meter, and leave with a new tool for family connection!
