My early works were mainly conceptual, or installations in a space, made of suitable everyday material such as newspapers, videos, photographs and objects from my immediate surroundings. Apart from the occational work of photography I’ve devoted myself mainly to painting in recent years. Still, the art I make today is related to the installations in the sense that one piece of work speaks to another, and together they form a net of particular kind - in which the mesh between the threads or the space between the units is a way to embrace the picture plane. Each component seeks within and without, joins components as well as the space that they are ultimately all a part of. Whereas my early works might be considered as an attemp to map out everyday activity the more recent ones are liberated from the burden of definitions - here, one thing
leads to another. The search for the unexpected continues, and an attempt to capture tiny fragments of beauty.
