For whom? The camp is open to girls and youth of marginalised genders aged 15–20 years old. No prior musical experience is necessary. We will create a safe space to try out new things and mistakes are welcome! What will I learn? Participants will get a foundation in electronic music, learn how to compose songs in Ableton Live, and try their hand at DJing. Those who wish to sing or rap on their tracks are encouraged to do so, and we’ll have recording facilities available. While musical styles can vary, the focus is on music created with a computer, using Ableton Live as our main tool. By the end of the camp, each participant will have created a draft of a song, which we’ll all listen to together at a listening party at the Læti! Music Center on the afternoon of June 2nd.
