On Culture Night, Saturday, August 23, a new artist will begin working in the exhibition series that has been ongoing at Ásmundarsafn. Amanda Riffo presents her project Displacement, a Swapped Dance, where she literally moves her workshop from Hafnar.haus to Ásmundarsafn. However, Ásmundarsafn temporarily acquires an existence in Amanda's old studio in Hafnar.haus. Amanda Riffo (1977) is a French-Chilean visual artist who has been living in Reykjavík since 2012. She graduated from École nationale supérieure des beaux-arts in 2002 with an MA in fine arts. Amanda received the Artist of the Year 2024 award for her exhibition House of Purkinje at the Living Art Museum.
