Skiing & ice skating
The Reykjavík Ski areas of Bláfjöll (Blue Mountains) and Skálafell mountains are both about a 30-minute drive from the Reykjavík city center. Both areas have great slopes for downhill skiing and snowboarding as well as tracks for cross-country skiing.
The ice skating rink in Laugardalur valley is over 3,700 square meters in size, of which the rink itself is 1,800 square meters.
