Eimverk Distillery is Iceland's first whisky distillery and a standout destination for anyone with an interest in Icelandic craftsmanship and spirits. Known for its pioneering approach, Eimverk is the only distillery in the country that produces spirits exclusively from 100% Icelandic barley, creating a truly local expression of flavour and tradition. The distillery is best known for Flóki Single Malt Whisky, VOR Premium Gin and Víti, a traditional brennivín.
Visitors are invited to experience Eimverk through a guided tasting tour that offers a behind-the-scenes look at the distillation process and the story behind Iceland's first whisky. Lasting just over an hour, the tour includes a tasting. Tours are available by appointment only, so advance booking is recommended.
The on-site shop offers a full range of Eimverk products and is open Monday to Friday from 10:00 to 15:30.
The distillery is located just a 10-15 minute taxi ride from downtown Reykjavík.
