Reykjavík Blues Festival the 13th of April
Reykjavík Blues Festival is held annually in April where artists from Europe, Iceland, and North America perform together in some of the most unique jam sessions in the Northern Hemisphere.
The blues festival in Reykjavík will have a different format this year. There will only be one concert available, a true music party where all the best blues players in the country will perform.
The incomparable singers Andrea Gylfadóttir, Ragnheiður Gröndal and Stefanía Svavarsdóttir perform blues magic with Guðmundur Pétursson, Halldór Bragason, Óskar Logi Ágústsson and Nick Jameson, with mulit-instrumentalist Davíð Þór Jónsson together with Róbert Þórhallsson bassist Óskar and drummer Óskar. The concert will also feature the band Blue Hand, composed of Jakob Frímann Magnússon, Guðmundur Pétursson, Jón Ólafsson and Einar Scheving.
After this amazing Icelandic blues party, the Blues Festival Club will be operating at Hilton Reykjavík Nordica. There, the fun continues into the night and adventures take place when different musicians stir a true blues spell.
As in recent years, seats for VOX diners are only taken away. The VOX restaurant at Hilton Reykjavík Nordica is going to offer a special menu on the occasion of the Blues Festival. VOX diners will have reserved seats at the concert at 8 pm.
