The theatre group Skellibjalla presents the play Peter Pan and the Lost Treasure, which is based on ideas and characters from the classic fairy tale by J. M. Barrie. This imaginative production combines storytelling with dynamic music, by various composers including Bernstein, Ravel, and Chopin, reimagined through fresh Icelandic translations by Vera Hjördís Matsdóttir. Peter Pan / director: Níels Thibaud Girerd Wendy: Bryndís Guðjónsdóttir Tinkerbell: Vera Hjördís Matsdóttir Captain Hook: Oddur Arnþór Jónsson Pianist: Einar Bjartur Egilsson Young audiences, aged 5–9, are invited to a heartfelt theatrical experience that explores themes such as friendship, courage, humility, and the importance of standing up for oneself and others. The aim is also to encourage children to activate their imagination, write their own stories, and dare to dream big. Peter Pan and the lost treasure will be staged on October 25th at 11:00 during the Reykjavík Opera Days.
