On Wednesday, 18 June at 13:00, hula dancers from Hawaii will be visiting Árbær Open Air Museum. 12 dancers from the Hula Dance School Hālau Ka Waikahe Lani Mālie - Kauaʻi are traveling to Iceland with their culture, traditions and aloha spirit. Hawaii has a lot in common with Iceland. They also have snowy mantles, fiery volcanic eruptions, ancient supernatural spirits and waterfalls. The dancers will tell the story of their people through chant, dance and the aloha spirit. Free admission during the event. Everyone is welcome! Aloha aku. Aloha mai. Accessibility: The museum’s footpaths are mainly gravel. Many historic houses have steps and thresholds. Service dogs are welcome. Public Transport: Nearest bus stop: Árbæjarsafn (1-minute walk). Other stops: Laxakvísl and Fagribær (5–6 minutes away). Free parking, including blue-badge parking spots opposite the entrance, is available.
