The band BREK will be performing at RVK Bruggfélag Tónabíó on Thursday, October 2nd at 8pm. Admission is free.
The band is currently working on their second album, having won the Icelandic Music Award for their previous album in 2022.
The band Brek mainly plays original, folk music with influences from various genres, including folk music, jazz and pop, but the band members place great emphasis on creating an interesting atmosphere in their instrumental playing.
In addition, emphasis is placed on the diverse use of the Icelandic language in lyrics.
The band consists of Harpa Þorvaldsdóttir, singer and pianist, Jóhann Ingi Benediktsson, guitarist and singer,
Guðmundur Atli Pétursson, mandolin player and Sigmar Þór Matthíasson, bass player.
