Exhibition of works by Ármann Kummer Magnússon at the Árbær City Library. Ármann was born in Reykjavík in 1981 but lived in Hvolsvöllur for the first five years. He began painting in 2006 and is mostly self-taught. Ármann primarily works with oil and acrylic on canvas, as well as creating sculptures. He has also made jewelry. Poetry café | Three women poets
A rising sun brings three poets to Kringlan City Library to read from and talk about their newly published books of poetry. Author and poet Brynja Hjálmsdóttir leads discussion by Anna Rós Árnadóttir, Birgitta Björg Guðmundsdóttir and Þórdís Dröfn Andrésdóttir. Those three young poets are all making a name for themselves despite only publishing their first book of poetry.
