Harpa is one of Reykjavik‘s greatest and most distinguished landmarks. It is an enchanting destination for intrigued travellers and its grand-scale award-winning architecture has attracted millions of guests since its opening in May 2011. Harpa´s facade is one of the largest artworks in the world designed by artist Ólafur Elíasson and Henning Larsen Architects. Harpa offers one of the best facilities for concerts and conferences in Northern Europe and has received numerous awards and prizes, both for its architecture and as a concert hall and conference centre.

Harpa is a cultural and social centre in the heart of the city and features stunning views of the surrounding mountains and the North Atlantic Ocean. It stands by the coastline and is connected to the city centre with walking trails both along the old harbour and the new core of the town along Reykjastræti. Harpa is a cultural and social centre in the very heart of the city where guests can enjoy a variety of events and shows, Icelandic design and food culture.

There are two restaurants in Harpa. Hnoss restaurant on the ground floor and La Primavera Ristorante on the fourth floor with an exquisite view of Reykjavik´s harbour.

Rammagerdin Store is on the ground floor of Harpa. The store offers products made by Icelandic craftspeople and designers.

Harpa offers scheduled and private guided tours with expert tour guides. All guides are musicians that know Harpa from their own experience and they´ll show you parts of this remarkable building that otherwise would remain unseen. Book a tour:

Experience Icelandic nature in a new way and enjoy the Circuleight installation in Harpa. Circuleight is an innovative installation that features designs and real-time interactive visuals inspired by Icelandic nature and original music by renowned Icelandic composer Högni Egilsson.
