The Story of Gravel Travel

Gravel Travel was founded in 2017 by Valþór (Valthor), a former aeroplane mechanic – so you can rest assured their vehicles are in expert hands! What started as a passion for showcasing the wild beauty of Iceland has grown into a trusted adventure tour company.

Valþór’s father joined the business as CFO, overseeing all financial matters, and today, Valþór’s son Matthías has also come on board as a driver-guide. Together, they continue the family tradition of sharing Iceland's wonders with visitors from around the world.
