Originally an apothecary, Skjaldbreið occupies one of the city’s most impressive buildings. It was our first hotel and it still can’t be beaten for charm. The location is what adds to its uniqueness, as it is right in the middle of the city’s main shopping street, Laugavegur.

Small in size with only 33 rooms, the hotel makes every guest feel like family. All rooms of Center Hotel Skjaldbreið are simple, spacious and charming.
