RIFF starts today

The 13th Reykjavík International Film Festival starts today. As before, RIFF focusses on introducing brand new films and documentaries from young and upcoming directors, this time with a particular emphasis on world peace.
The  honorary guest  of RIFF this year are the renowned directors Darren Aronofsky and Deepa Mehta. The festival will screen a selection of their films and they will have a masterclass open to the public. The actress Chloe Sevigny is also an honorary guest at RIFF this year. She has recently moved to directing and RIFF will screen her short film Kitty at the festival. Sevigny will be present at the screening and answer questions from the audience
Alejandro Jodorovsy is also honorary director. Two of his films will be screened at RIFF and his son Brontis Jodorovsky who acted in his films will have a masterclass and talk about the works of his father.  All masterclasses are free of charge and open for everyone.
