Iceland´s award-winning concert hall Harpa and Reykjavik City proudly present a new concert series, Reykjavik Classics in Eldborg Harpa, summer 2016.

The concert series is a welcome addition to the vibrant scene of arts and culture in the Capital and is specifically designed to fulfill the demand raised by the enthusiasts of music among international travellers, in particular those who wish to listen to live performances of classical music, performed by artists of the highest caliber, in “one of the ten best concert halls of the new millennium” (Gramophone).

Reykjavik Classics in Harpa begins on June 30th and will be running every day until August 14th. Each concert starts at noon at 12.30 and lasts for a total of 30 minutes without intermission. The program offers representative masterworks from the classical repertoire. The performing artists are leading soloists in Iceland with international honors and professional achievements to their credit, from the Iceland Symphony Orchestra and the Icelandic Opera. Artistic director of Reykjavik Classics is pianist Nína Margrét Grímsdóttir. Harpa´s exquisite restaurant Smurstöðin offers 10% discount off the lunch menu for concert ticket holders.
