10 years of Stockfish Film Festival
Stockfish Film and Industry Festival proudly announces its 10th-anniversary celebration, taking place from April 4th to April 14th, 2024.
In honour of this significant occasion, Stockfish extends a warm invitation to all, offering free admission to this year's festivities.
Stockfish's program this year is exquisite and ambitious, and includes a wide range of films.
One of the highlights of this year's festival is the presentation of the Stockfish 2024 Honorary Award. This year's honorary award for contribution to international cinema goes to Lynne Ramsay and the honorary award for the domestic film industry goes to Laufey Guðjónsdóttir.
"We want to fill the cinema halls with curious people, young, middle-aged and old, of all genders and from all around the world. People who appreciate good, well-told stories, spectacular pictorial history lessness, romance, anguish or just everyday tragedy or joy."

Stockfish Film and Industry Festival is held at Bíó Paradís in Reykjavík and runs from April 4-14.
Great ambition has been put into making the festival as accessible as possible for spectators while offering a diverse program for professionals in the industry. Emphasis is placed on presenting prize-winning films from various countries and nations,
and the audience is invited to participate in open discussions with the filmmakers. Then, there will be many good guests who will participate in seminars and presentations.
Stockfish Film Festival & Industry Days is a film and conference festival for professionals in the film industry, held in Bíó Paradís in cooperation with all professional associations in the film industry in Iceland. Stockfish's goal is to serve the community from which the festival springs, promote and enrich film culture in Iceland year-round, and be a lever for the Icelandic film industry both abroad and domestically.
