Kópavogur Church is a cross church and in that respect it is traditional, but its arches, which are the main characteristics of the church make it special and give it both a majestic and soft appearance. It stands in a place called Borgir or Borgarholt, but its surroundings are protected because of its uniqueness and the complexity it possesses. The view from the church is great and beautiful and so there are many people who come there both to enjoy the great view and to see the church.
