Innipúkinn Music Festival on Tradesmen's Weekend

In Reykjavík we also celebrate the Tradesmen's Weekend with a festival called Innipúkinn. 

The Tradesmen's Weekend (Verslunarmannahelgin) is next weekend from 4-7 August. This is the time when many Icelanders go out to the country, camp and take part in the festivals which are all around Iceland. The biggest festival this weekend is on Vestmanneyjar Island. 

In Reykjavík we also celebrate the Tradesmen's Weekend with a festival called Innipúkinn. This is an annual music festival which has been held yearly for 16 years and will now be held at the Húrra and Gaukur á Stöng venues in downtown Reykjavík from 4-6 of August.
 
This year programme consists of over 20 bands artists including: Alvia Islandia ,Amabadama, aYia , Between Mountains, Cyber ,Daði Freyr, Dimma, Elli Grill, FM Belfast, Fufanu, Joey Christ, Jón Jónsson, Kiriyama Family, Kontinuum, Marteinn Sindri, Milkywhale, Sigga Beinteins & Babies, Sóley, Sturla Atlas,Twin Twin Situation, Vök and XXX Rottweiler. 

Along with the music program, the street in front of the music venues will be filled with markets and joy during the festival days. 
 
Many of Iceland’s leading bands and artists have performed at Innipúkinn Music Festival since it was first held in 2002. Including: Of Monsters and Men, Ólafur Arnalds, Amiina, Mugison and Mínus.
