Wired for life: New science exhibition for the family

How does our city work behind the scenes? In this fun exhibition, you will learn about the journey of energy and discover the science behind our utility systems. The exhibition is intended for children of all ages.
In our exhibition, Heartstrings & Waterways, we playfully draw parallels between the city's utility systems and the human body's organ systems. We showcase the wonders of the utility systems, how energy flows through the city's veins, and explore where the energy comes from and how we use it.

At the Heartstrings and Waterways exhibition, you will get to experience infrastructure in a new way – where the heart of the city beats in time with the human heart.
The exhibition runs until 31 January 2026. From 17 October, the exhibition is open every weekday from 9:00 to 16:30.

Elliði Cafe is open every day except Mondays from 11-17 (closed Mondays).
