Hekla Magnúsdóttir, the musician, invites children and their families to a theremin workshop in the machine hall of the old power station in Elliðaárstöð. The workshop is primarily intended for children aged 8 and older, but younger children can participate with the help of their guardians. In the workshop, children will get to know graphic notation and the musical instrument theremin. In the first part of the workshop, children will draw their own notation and then exchange pictures. In the second part, they will learn to play the electric musical instrument theremin through fun exercises and also have the opportunity to try playing each other's songs on the instrument. ⚡️
