Book launch | Earth

You are warmly invited to celebrate the release of the book Jörð / Earth, featuring works by Bryndís Jónsdóttir, which are based on the symbolic system of Icelandic sheep marks, a tradition that has accompanied the nation since ancient times.

Bryndís has always followed her own path in her art. She draws inspiration from nature and strives to bring out the organic qualities in different materials. Whether carved, three-stepped, or fully notched, she transforms the marks into powerful clay and iron sculptures, solid glass pieces, and delicate graphic works, all with a palpable sense of materiality.

The book is yet another work in itself, created by the design duo at Studio Studio, Birna Geirfinnsdóttir and Arnar Freyr Guðmundsson, who were recently nominated for the Icelandic Book Design Awards for it.
Light refreshments will be served, and the book will be available at a special price in honor of the occasion.
