Benni Hemm Hemm & The Choir - Concert in The City Hall

Benni Hemm Hemm & The Choir began their collaboration with the performance Light & Trash, which was staged at Tjarnarbíó in early 2024. The work consisted of ten songs composed for the group by Benedikt H. Hermannsson, with staging and choreography by Ásrún Magnúsdóttir. The performance—as well as the album released in its wake—received an excellent reception and critical acclaim. Benni, Ásrún, and the Choir decided to continue working together and have since performed widely, recorded additional songs, and have many exciting projects in the works.

Benni Hemm Hemm & The Choir have now put together a rich and generous program of songs spanning the group’s entire career, set within an adventurous visual framework by Abigail Portner under the direction of Ásrún Magnúsdóttir. Expect an enigmatic atmosphere, darkness and guiding light, and a full bag of music to warm you through the winter.
