Mary's Annunciation Day or Visitation of the blessed virgin Mary is also often referred to as Mary's mass. The Gospel of the Annunciation presents the story of when the archangel Gabriel appeared to Mary in Nazareth to give her a message from God that she should give birth to the Son of God, and call him Jesus, nine months before Christmas.
