The newest and most child-friendly pool in Hafnarfjörður, Ásvallalaug, is also the biggest thermal pool in Iceland at about 6,000 m² (65,000 feet²).

The complex, which is all indoors, offers a 50-m (165-foot) lap pool, five hot tubs both inside and outside, a large shallow children's pool, a water slide and toys, a steam bath and a gym.

Reykjavík City Card holders receive 2 for 1 admission at this establishment.

In 2017 Ásvallalaug swimming pool received an award for very good facilities for the disabled.
